The anthracite paper jacket of Issey Miyake has been selected for its rarity, its iconicity and its exceptional state of conservation.
Emblematic of the work of its creator in the 80s, it takes a rigid way the codes of traditional yakuta while embracing its primary function: be easily worn for its flexibility and freshness in summer.

Crossed, slightly trapezoid, closed by two buttons, broad armholes to promote flexibility and movement, its simple and mixed shape is distinguished by the addition of details: all edges are reinforced with a paper piping and two large pockets side were sewn on the front to bring real functionality.

Carrying all the technical creativity and iconic know-how of Issey Miyake, this jacket has been hybridized thanks to the intervention of a reinforced grid glass thread, used for the protection of industrial ducts:
- This material has been affixed under the sleeves following the fitting of the jacket to protect it from the friction associated with the movement of the arms, especially during the walk, in a spirit of optimal conservation.

This piece is particularly representative of the work of Issey Miyake whose house was born in 1971 in Tokyo and became since 1973 a strong signal of new trends in Paris and around the world, including its use of new technologies in the service flexible shapes that tie traditional Japanese clothing to the history of fashion. His timeless creations and cultural associations, particularly with photographer Irving Penn, have inspired a functional, thoughtful and contemporary niche fashion. 

This 100% paper jacket is a unique and mixed piece, reworked in our workshop in Paris.
