It was while attending a Martin Margiela fashion show that the young Belgian designer was inspired by fashion. This very contemporary vision of clothing can be found in his collections.

Born in Neerpelt, in the Flemish countryside, in 1968, Raf Simons graduated from the Genk School in 1991. Specializing in industrial design, he mastered the basics of furniture design and interior decoration before stumbling upon the Martin Margiela show. Encouraged by Linda Loppa, director of the fashion department at the Antwerp Academy of Fine Arts, he trained to design menswear and launched his label in 1995. His vision of menswear evolves between teenage counterculture and artisanal precision.

At the same time, he taught at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna from 2000 to 2005. He won his first prize, the Swiss Textiles Award, in Lucerne in June 2005.
His Raf by Raf line was launched at the same time. That same year marked the tenth anniversary of his company, which was celebrated at the Giardini di Boboli in Florence with the publication of a book written with Peter De Potter.

In July 2005, he was appointed creative director at Jil Sander, which he left in 2012. This was the first time he designed women's collections. His work on minimalism was applauded.
Elected artistic director of the haute couture, ready-to-wear and women's accessories collections of the house of Dior, replacing John Galliano in 2012, he brought the fashion house into a new era, marked by romantic modernity. Following his departure from the house in 2015, he became artistic director at Calvin Klein in 2016.
In 2020, he began a collaboration with Muiccia Prada, within the eponymous Italian fashion house.

Inspired by a universe filled with music, images, art and words, Raf Simons is keen to express individual attitudes and emotions that are turned towards the future.

Product Description: Hooded coat, double zipper and snap button closure, two pockets with flaps on the front and two invisible side pockets. Drawstring at the waist.
    Material-composition: Denim

It was while attending a fashion show by Martin Margiela that the young Belgian designer had the trigger for fashion. We will find this very contemporary vision of clothing in his collections.

Born in Neerpelt, in the Flemish countryside, in 1968, Raf Simons graduated from the Genk school in 1991. Specialized in industrial design, he handles the rudiments of furniture design and interior decoration before falling on the catwalk of Martin Margiela. Encouraged by Linda Loppa, director of the fashion department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, he trained to create men's clothing and launched his own label in 1995. His vision of men's fashion evolves between teenage counter-culture and handcrafted precision.

At the same time, he taught at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna from 2000 to 2005. He won his first prize, the Swiss Textiles Award, in Lucerne in June 2005.
