Founded in 1947, Maison Jean Roger is known worldwide for its exquisite and original ceramics. Its founder, Jean was a visionary and daring ceramicist: in the mid-fifties, he distinguished himself by creating original models that inspired collectors and famous designers, including Hans Knoll for his furniture, Jean Royère, the houses of Jansen, Dior and Chanel. Jean Roger modernized and brightened up the art of ceramics by launching new animal and exotic collections, frogs, palm trees, pineapples, feathers which were hugely successful. Jean Roger was quickly joined by his son Jean-Jacques who introduced trompe-l'oeil enamel, a lacquer technique applied to earthenware that has become his signature. Today, his grandson François has taken over the family workshop in the heart of the Marais district with his sister Marguerite, also perfecting new techniques and launching new creations.

A perfect balance between heritage and innovation with a collection that includes classic shapes revisited with a playful and bold twist. A mix of unexpected styles often inspired by nature, sconces, consoles, vases, lamps and home icons that have not aged a day. All designs are handmade and exclusive. François Roger also works closely with architects and interior designers like Laura Gonzales, creating custom pieces for their projects.
